First place for Alex at Uckfield Triathlon

Fresh (or should that be tired) from giving the 3 hour barrier another seeing too in the Marathon

After contemplating retirement last year a change of scenery must have been what Tim needed

Phoenix fielded 25 athletes for the third Brighton Marathon in conditions that were almost perfect. Pat Davoren led the way home in 30th position with Andy Bone the only other sub- three finisher. Most finished sub-4 hours.

On Saturday 14th April. Will Russell joined the 100 club at the Brighton and Hove parkrun. That is to say, he has run the weekly 5k time trial 100 times. For a 14 year old to achieve this is exceptional.

Even before the senior men’s race got underway, the anticipation was at fever pitch as to whether Phoenix would be entering their crack team for this event – not to disappoint the organisers and the other teams, we were!

James Atkinson was the winner of this years Brighton Trail Marathon on 18th March in a time of 3 hours 27mins and 56 seconds . 15 minutes ahead of the second place runner.

On a wet and windy Sunday morning the Brighton Phoenix Multisporters were out in force to defend the team title at the annual season opener of the LA Frosty Aquathlon in Littlehampton.

Bracketed on both sides by sunny days, Sunday 4th March was cold, wet, and windy. Runners shivering on the start line of the Eastbourne Half Marathon forlornly exchanged revised predicted times.

Phoenix second claimers Ben Tickner and Jon Pepper had storming runs at the South of England
