Fantastic Week of racing for Phoenix athlete’s, top of the pile was a superb Bronze medal for Sam Wade in the British University Duathlon Championship (BUCS).

After two years of abysmal weather for this event, Sunday 13 November saw us basking in sunshine at the new-look races. The entry by young athletes benefitted as did the adult mile race with a greatly expanded line-up and a course record.

Phoenix recently presented a cheque for £600 to The Clock Tower Sanctuary to support its work with young people aged 16-25 who are homeless or insecurely housed. The cheque represents funds raised by Phoenix’s first ever 10K seafront race.& Read more

Phoenix men have just been awarded silver county medals as runners up in the 2010 Sussex 10K Challenge, a competition we didn't realise we were taking part in. Eleven months late has to some kind of record for SCAAA.

Team Phoenix went into the National Championships with five of the original six from the Southern Championship team making the journey.

Faye McClelland retained her T4 paratri category World Title in Beijing on Friday 9th September in a time of 1:16:21 for the sprint distance.

As the track season draws to a close and the dark nights threaten to return, four of Team Phoenix middle distance athletes decided to travel up for a final run out over the 3000m distance at Watford.

The inaugural running of the Phoenix 10K was an undoubted success. Not only did the race sell-out but initial feedback from competitors is very positive. Thirty of us ran but what was so heartening was the number of you that turned out to help.

The annual BlackCap 5M handicap race took place on Thursday 30 June. Sonal Chaudhary was the fastest  women in a time of 41:08. Ray Matthews recorded the fastest men's time in 32:16.  Read more
